Welcome 

Opening Ceremony: Framing the Narrative for Boys and Young Men of Color
The Opening begins with The Grand Procession of Young Men entering into the venue with all of the Gathering leaders, dignitaries and distinguished elders. This processional occurs with vibrant drumming and establishes the intention and ambiance for the entire conference.  

Youth Presentations
Cohorts of young men will present their creative rendition of the gathering theme

Oath, Reflections and Charges:  The closing ceremony will involve the male participants deeply reflecting on their two days and sharing with the entire Gathering community their Oath statements.  Lastly, the young men will charge the adult educators with what they think, feel and know to be essential when creating the optimal conditions for educating boys and young men of color.
