COSEBOC 2018 Young Men's Passage

May 30-31, 2018
For Boys and Young Men 14-19 Years of Age

COSEBOC welcomes boys and young men to attend The 2018 Annual Young Men's Passage. This year's theme examines what it means to be Liberated, Empowered and Educated.

In our two-day journey together, we will take a voyage inward and become acquainted with our intrinsic intelligences, gifts, powers and personal missions. Additionally, we will be inspired by our people’s narrative and quest for liberation, empowerment and commitment to excellence.

The Young Men's Passage is designed to include the significant presence that boys and young men of color bring to the vision of re-imagining and transforming their educational experiences and overall quality of life. It is an essential component to the COSEBOC Gathering, as it helps inspire and build a youth leadership cohort that will be prepared to address the current issues centered on the healthy education and socialization of boys and young men of color.

COSEBOC 2018 Young Men's Passage

The Young Men’s Passage features a host of fun, challenging, thought-provoking and transformative experiences centered on the affirmative development of boys and young men of color.

Among the many highlights:

  • The heralded Walk of Integrity

  • Tour of the Realest “Hoods” (Manhood, Brotherhood and Fatherhood)
  • COSEBOC Talks

We look forward to the attendance of our boys and young men as we acknowledge and celebrate their narratives.

“As long as the mind is enslaved, the body can never be free.  Psychological freedom, a firm sense of self esteem, is the most powerful weapon against the long night of physical slavery.”
