Contribute to COSEBOC

Scholars use the term Sankofa to mean “remembering our past to protect our future.” COSEBOC uses Sankofa practices to craft its successful Rites of Passage model in multiple communities. In this program, young men of color attend targeted classes to bring them closer to their shared cultural heritage through stories and legends, manhood rituals, and the work of leaders who have gone before. This establishes the groundwork for documented success in school, ambitions for the future, and long-lasting peer relationships.

With your generous support, Rites of Passage can be implemented in other schools and communities.
